However I must say after watching this movie I found myself looking to put a Baltimore Ravens game on and not to mention browse the internet to read more about Michael Oher.

The Blind Side written and directed by John Lee Hancock is based on the book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis. The story talks about Oher and his struggles to get where he is today.

While Oher may be the main subject matter here, its Leigh Anne Tuohy who is the main focus in the film. Sandra Bullock gives a real good performance as a upper-class southern woman with a good heart. Her on-screen chemistry with Tim McGraw, who plays her husband Sean Tuohy, was decent. However, its the relationship with Oher, newcomer Quentin Aaron, that shines in the film.

For a movie that, to me, was showcased as a football movie in trailers and ads doesn't bring the football aspect into play until more than halfway into the film. The upbringing of Oher from a poverty-stricken background where he mentally struggles with being from a broken home, to being taken in by a upper-class family and becoming a more mentally stable individual, overshadows any football aspect.

Overall I enjoyed this heartfelt movie and thought Aaron stole the show here. While Bullock did well with her acting, Aaron was powerful with showing simple facial expressions to show Oher's progression throughout the film. On a side note, college football fans will enjoy many cameos from coaches like Lou Holtz, Nick Saban, and Houston Nutt amongst others.
